K - 12th Grade

Aurora LIGHTS program includes two special Academies: Saturday Academy is special 10 week program for 9th Graders hosted at the Anschutz Medical Campus, see calendar for dates . 30 students selected from Wm Smith, Aurora Central and Hinkley High Schools.

Aurora LIGHTS Summer Institute 2009 hosted 40 High School Students. This 6 week program included 4 weeks of on-campus academic program and 2 week residential program with 6 days of job shadow/internships, multiple Health Care tours and interactions with Health Care Professionals and students in the pipeline. 
 

2012 Summer Heatlh Careers Institute (SHCI)

We will start registration for the 2012 SHCI in January!

The 2011 SHCI is a seven day program for students from all over colorado to explore various medical and health professions as well as the opportunity to tour health care facilities; discuss career options with professors and health practitioners; and shadow a health professional.

Exploring is a career awareness program offered by local businesses and government agencies to give high school youth, ages 14-20, hand-on experience in career fields of their choice.
