Southwest Center for Public Health Preparedness
The overall mission of the Southwest Center for Public Health Preparedness is to help prepare the public health workforce response to bioterrorism and emerging health threats by:
- assessing the competency of the public health workforce in core public health skills and bioterrorism preparedness,
- facilitating training to meet the assessed needs and
- carrying out applied research on emerging health issues.
Central Colorado AHEC is now a program partner with the Southwest Center for Public Health Preparedness. This will mean the offering of courses and other professional opportunities.
