It is my pleasure to welcome you to Central Colorado AHEC’s website. We are dedicated to connecting health care in special ways: students to careers, industry partners and community to better health. The Board of Directors is committed to achieve the vision of “A Healthy and informed populace served by a well educated, diverse work force in an accessible health care delivery system.”
The highlight for January was a very successful HC Educator and Counselor Institute done in collaboration with the Fitzsimmons Redevelopment Authority, Bioscience Park Center and UCD- Anschutz Medical Campus. The February highlight is the Denver Metro Regional Science and Engineering Fair hosted at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science.

Colorado Health Careers - Update is Complete!
The Colorado Health Careers website has been updated! All of its health careers and the Colorado schools who offer training and degrees to support them have been updated and there are more on-line courses then ever. Find the updates at Colorado Health Careers.
RN & LPN/LVN Online Refresher Courses
This course has been designed and developed as an "online" refresher course for the RN or LPN/LVN who needs to activate their nursing license or for those who wish to return to active nursing practice. For that and other online courses visit the Central CO AHEC Professionals page.
Nursing Education Loan Repayment Program
The Nursing Education Loan Repayment Program is a selective program of the U.S. Government that helps alleviate the critical shortage of registered nurses currently experienced by certain types of non-profit health care facilities by helping nurses working at them to repay their student loans. The Colorado Trust Health Professions Scholarship Program
This a 2-year scholarship to assist enrolled graduate level Health Professions students by paying for a significant portion of their education. Applications open 1 May 2010. More information.
